Volunteer to help the Kalispell Ski Club!

The Kalispell Ski Club is a volunteer based organization that has been around for over 60 years. All of our instructors are volunteers and that is the core basis of our program and helps build a family supported organization.

We have many volunteer needs, but the largest is by far is instructors and class helpers. We are always looking for parents that want to be involved with our Learn to Ski Program. If you are interested in volunteering as an instructor but are unsure if you can teach skiing, we have a whole weekend devoted to teaching our instructors how to teach children to ski.

All of our volunteer instructors receive a ski pass for the days they volunteer. We have a lot of parents that volunteer to teach or help a class during the same period of time their children are in ski lessons. This allows them to ski for free for 9 weekends of the year with their children and not miss any time with them.

Outside of skiing we have many volunteer positions. Most of them though center around our ski swap weekend. This is the largest weekend of the year for our club as we raise most of our operating income for the upcoming season through this one weekend.  We have positions open in cashiering, security, set up and tear down of the building, and various other duties. The sale takes place the first weekend in October every year and goes from that Thursday to that Sunday.

If you are interested in volunteering for the KSC please contact me at [email protected].

Thanks,

Nathan Magers
