Kalispell Ski Club’s Annual Fun Day is coming soon
3 cool events coming together for one incredibly fun day for the whole family and it’s all free!!
What events are happening?
The KSC Family Cup is a chance for families to compete against other families for the fastest combined time down a Giant Slalom race course. Trophies will be given out for almost every category imaginable including fastest grandparent/grandchild, fastest husband/wife, fastest mother/daughter, and many more. New this year, the overall fastest family will also receive a $250 gift certificate to the Sportsman Ski Haus. Second place, $100 gift certificate to the Sportsman. Third place, $50 gift certificate to the Sportsman.
After the family cup, it’s time to get your Bar-b-que on, slopeside. Kris Weller will be making his “probably deserves an award” winning pulled pork sandwiches.
We’ll break from lunch for the last lessons of the season with Saturday and Sunday clubs coming together for some laughs and a chance to race against your clubmates and your instructor in another Giant Slalom course. After the classes are done, we’ll meet hill side on the Base Lodge patio (next to the fire pit), to distribute all the hardware and checks from the Family Cup!
The schedule of events and locations for each
9:00am - 11:30am Family Cup under Chair 9 (registration will occur in Mt Brown room prior)
11:30am - 12:45pm Slopeside Bar-b-que near the finish line (shuttles will be available from the Base Lodge drop off area)
1:00pm - 3:00pm Classes for both Saturday and Sunday Clubs. Each class will get to run the GS course for medals
3:15pm - 3:45pm Family Cup Award Ceremony on the Base Lodge Patio.
Remember Saturday classes on March 17th will start at 1:00, not 11:00 as usual. Sunday classes will not
meet on Sunday March 18th because they’re meeting at 1:00 on Saturday March 17th.
